From 19 July, Ireland will implement an ‘emergency brake’ system for all countries outside of the EU, to react swiftly to countries of concern.
If you are due to visit a country to which the EU has not applied an ‘Emergency Brake’ and you have valid proof of vaccination, no travel-related testing or quarantine will be necessary.
If you do not have valid proof of vaccination, you will need to do the following:
- present evidence of a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to arrival into the country
- self-quarantine
- undergo post-arrival testing - this will be provided through the HSE
If the country you are due to visit is included in the “emergency break” system at the time you are due to travel, the government advises against all but non-essential travel, so we will not be running tours to those areas.
