We are offering flexible bookings on all 2021 departures where any new bookings made can be changed for free or you can swap your deposit for a voucher that has no expiry date. This flexibility is valid right up to when your balance is due. Rest assured you can book with confidence today and give yourself something to look forward to. For any new 2022 bookings made after 30th of June 2021, standard cancellation terms will apply.

If you are uncertain about travelling and have booked at a time when we were offering flexible deposits, you can transfer to a later date or exchange your deposit for a voucher, provided you let us know before your balance is due. If you are travelling outside of the EU and based on government advice, your tour cannot go ahead, we will contact you about alternative arrangements prior to your balance due date.

The Irish government announced non-essential international travel will resume on 19th July 2021 and the Republic of Ireland will operate the EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC) for travel originating within the EU/EEA. Outside of the EU/EEA the government will operate an “Emergency Break” mechanism, coordinated at an EU level.

From 19 July 2021, subject to the prevailing public health situation, Ireland will operate the EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC) for travel originating within the EU/EEA. The EU Digital COVID Certificate is designed to facilitate the safe free movement of citizens within the EU during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Irish government has signed up to this system and it will be valid in all EU Member States, including Ireland.

Passengers arriving into Ireland with a Digital COVID Certificate will not have to undergo quarantine.

The certificate is proof that you have either:

• been vaccinated against COVID-19 with one of the following vaccines: Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson
• received a negative test result; or
• recovered from COVID-19 within the past 6 months

Once you have your valid Digital Covid Certificate, travel within the EU should be relatively easy. Please note that if you are travelling on the basis of a negative test, you may be required to take further tests locally to allow you to participate in certain excursions where you may be indoors or in enclosed spaces where a valid negative test is required to have been taken within 48 or 72 hours. More details of these specific to your tour will be sent closer to travel due to continually changing rules.

• All EU member states will be using the Digital Covid Certificate, and if for any reason there are any requirements for entry that fall outside of the requirements for the Digital Covid Certificate, we will be in touch with you before your tour departs. If your tour is to a destination outside the European Union, we will contact you about any special requirements as soon as we can prior to your tour and will aim to give you an update before your balance is due.
• Travel Department constantly monitors the situation for all its destinations and if any adjustments need to be made to any part of your itinerary, you can be sure that we will do our best to let you know as soon as possible.
• Your tour guide will advise you of any local customs and practices, such as the rules for mask wearing, when you arrive.

From 19 July, Ireland will implement an ‘emergency brake’ system for all countries outside of the EU, to react swiftly to countries of concern.

If you are due to visit a country to which the EU has not applied an ‘Emergency Brake’ and you have valid proof of vaccination, no travel-related testing or quarantine will be necessary.

If you do not have valid proof of vaccination, you will need to do the following:

• present evidence of a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to arrival into the country
• self-quarantine
• undergo post-arrival testing - this will be provided through the HSE

If the country you are due to visit is included in the “emergency break” system at the time you are due to travel, the government advises against all but non-essential travel, so we will not be running tours to those areas.

Once you have paid your balance, if the situation changes regarding travel restrictions, we will be in touch with you to discuss your options.

You need to ensure that the travel insurance you purchase includes cover for cancellation as a result of a positive diagnosis of Covid-19 and also cover Medical Expenses abroad as a result of Covid-19. We’ve got you covered with new insurance policies available to purchase when booking with Covid cover, so you’re taking peace of mind with you wherever you go.

If you have a European Union passport, the same rules apply as for people with Irish passports.

Travel worldwide has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to manage the associated risks, governments and regulatory authorities have issued various laws, regulations and guidance. This tour is operating from the Republic of Ireland on the basis of the regulations applicable to citizens of the Republic of Ireland and the EU. If you are NOT a citizen of the EU and/or have travelled/are travelling outside of the EU in the weeks prior to the departure date of this tour, it is your responsibility to check what regulations may apply to you, and to ensure that all your travel documents including passports, and any Covid-19 related paperwork is in order. Yes. The full name on your Digital Covid Certificate must match exactly to that on your passport. Please visit covidcertificateportal.gov.ie/en-US/ to request amendments to your Digital Covid Certificate.
