China has announced that from 30 November 2024 until 31 December 2025, citizens of Ireland holding an ordinary Irish passport travelling to China for business, tourism, family visit or transit purposes for a duration not exceeding 30 days are eligible for visa-free entry. Passports should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from return date of travel.

All UK visitors to China require a Tourist Visa. It is each passenger’s responsibility to obtain the appropriate Tourist Visa and to make sure that when you receive it, all details are correct. When you apply for your visa, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages and must be valid for 6 months from your return date of travel. Chinese visas are valid for three months from the date of issue.

Other nationalities should contact Cuban Embassy for further advice. Your Tourist Card is valid for 30 days from the date of entry to Cuba. You may only enter Cuba once during this period. Please note that if you are travelling to Cuba via Canada, you will also require Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) from the Government of Canada. 

Please note that receiving a Cuban entry stamp on your passport may lead to difficulties in receiving an ESTA (e-visa) for entering the USA.

Foreign nationals, who intend to visit Sri Lanka for a short stay of up to six months, must obtain an ETA prior to their arrival. The ETA is issued through an on-line system.
