There is no better way to experience a country in all its natural wonders than a walking holiday. The best way to experience a new country is to get up close and personal with its breathtaking natural scenery. On our walking holidays, we’ll travel off the beaten path to places tour buses can’t reach as we enjoy an adventure in search of once-in-a-lifetime views. We offer walking holidays to truly beautiful locations like the Julian Alps in Slovenia to the dramatic seaside cliffs of north-western Spain. From Alpine Lakes in Austria to the Transylvanian forests in Romania, we’ll experience so much more untouched natural beauty than on a standard holiday. We have a range of walking holidays suitable for all levels to destinations such as Spain, Croatia, Austria, Hungary and even Romania.
On our walking holidays, we choose the best routes and expertly craft our itineraries to get the most out of each day, while still leaving plenty of time to immerse ourselves in the places we visit. We also take care of your luggage while you walk, so you can focus on enjoying the journey. Whether it’s a week-long trek on the Camino de Santiago or an adventure through Croatia’s Mljet National Park, we plan every walking holiday down to the last detail.
Whether you’ve been on many walking holidays or you’re embarking on your first one, it makes the trek much easier when you have a trusted expert to show you the way. On all of our walking holidays, we’ll be accompanied by a local walking guide each day. Throughout our trip, our guide will be there to give context to the places we visit, provide tips and answer any questions. We hand select the most experienced, friendly guides so that you can focus on enjoying the adventure.
We offer a variety of walking holidays to suit all different skill levels and the majority of our walking holidays offer a choice of walking routes with varying pace and distance. Our grades, leisurely, moderate and challenging, are judged by the average distance, terrain and incline covered on each holiday.
