The Algarve Golf Holiday

Let’s escape to the Algarve for our 5 night golf break. Famous for its many golf resorts, with beautiful seaside towns and fantastic natural scenery, Portugal’s Algarve Coast is the perfect location to combine playing golf and discovering what this region has to offer.

Upon our arrival to the Algarve we will travel to our hotel near Portimao, and our home for the next five nights. Take the rest of the day to settle into our hotel, unpack and get ready for our Algarve Golf Holiday.

This evening let’s enjoy a “Meet & Greet” with our fantastic expert golf professional, Peter O’Hagan. It will consist of a quick welcome chat so we can get to know our teacher for the next few days and fellow group members before sitting down for dinner in our hotel.

This evening let’s enjoy a “Meet & Greet” with our fantastic expert golf professional, Peter O’Hagan. It will consist of a quick welcome chat so we can get to know our teacher for the next few days and fellow group members before sitting down for dinner in our hotel.

Let’s join our expert golf professional, Peter, for a morning golf lesson where we can work on our golf skills such as short game skills (pitching/putting & bunkers), Long game woods & irons (awkward lies/spin control), course management, and many more tips and tricks to improve our game.

In the afternoon, let’s put what we have learnt in the morning to good use as we play the award winning course of Morgado or its neighbouring course the Alamos Golf Course. Walk the wide fairways of the 18 hole Morgado Golf Course, laid out in a large 980 hectare estate surrounded by nature. Let’s admire the local olive and citrus trees while taking our shots while its large greens provide the perfect opportunity for us to practise our putting skills.

Meanwhile the Alamos course offers a different vista of the beautiful Algarve countryside. With superb views towards the hills of Serra de Monchique, lakes and farmland, it is shorter than its sister course, but it’s 18 holes with its narrow fairway and undulating greens offers a different type of challenge for the intrepid golfer.

Today you will have the morning at leisure to relax. Why not enjoy the pool or spa facilities at your hotel or travel to the nearby town of Portimao for some sightseeing and shopping?

This afternoon let’s savour more with wine tasting in a local vineyard, a great way to get to know Portuguese regional wines and wine-making processes, while discovering the Algarve countryside and its traditions. Let’s enjoy a tour of the winery and explore its cellars before we get a chance to taste the wine ourselves with a tasting of four different wines accompanied by fresh bread and olive oil.

It’s time to say goodbye to the Algarve & travel to the airport with plenty of new skills to improve our game.
