China Adventure Holidays 

First developed as a series of smaller walls protecting various separate Chinese states, the Great Wall of China was connected more than 2000 years ago by the Emperor Qin to defend the first consolidated kingdom of China. On our holidays to China including the Great Wall of China, we’ll embark on a guided trek along a section of the wall with an expert, local guide. We’ll explore the ruins of this marvellous man-made structure from the Gubeikou Section to Jinshanling Section, covering a distance of 15km by foot over approximately 6 hours.

The capital city of China, Beijing, has a history spanning back over 3000 years. Packed with heritage and a vibrant local culture, Beijing is not to be missed when visiting China. On our holidays including Beijing, we’ll visit the city’s most important highlights including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Centred in the heart of Beijing, Tiananmen Square is one of the largest in the world and has been the site of many historic rallies and protests. The Forbidden City was the Chinese Imperial Palace during the Ming Dynasty and served as the home of emperors for almost 500 years.

Located in south-eastern China, Hong Kong is a vibrant, buzzing city with a densely populated urban centre and a skyscraper-studded skyline. Full of endless options to keep any traveller entertained, Hong Kong's captivating neighbourhoods and islands offer a feast for all the senses. On our holidays to China, we’ll take a half-day guided tour of Hong Kong’s highlights including Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Man Mo Temple and Hollywood Road. We’ll also enjoy plenty of free time to discover the city at leisure.

Tibet is an autonomous region of China, situated on the northern side of the Himalayas. It is often referred to as the “Roof of the World” for its towering peaks and stunning views of Mount Everest. We'll explore Lhasa, the capital of Tibet and discover the Tibetan countryside by bicycle with our local guide, taking in picturesque views of the surrounding region.
